The best laptop under ₹70,000 in India right now is the Samsung Galaxy Book4 with a Core i5-1335U at around ₹66,743. It has a 10-core processor, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD for storage and a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS screen. Buyers on Amazon.in rate it 4.4.
Samsung solders the 16GB of RAM to the board, so you cannot add more later, but it adds a second SSD slot for extra storage. A backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader and MS Office come with it.
At this budget, expect 16GB of RAM and a 512GB or 1TB SSD. Only the MacBook Neo here has less: 8GB and 256GB. Over a ₹60,000 laptop, the extra ₹10,000 buys more RAM, more cores or double the storage.

Best laptops under ₹70,000: quick comparison
Sorted by price. Cores are the processor's working units, so more cores help with many apps open. "Fixed" means the RAM is soldered to the board. IPS screens keep colours steady from any angle.

What does ₹70,000 buy that ₹60,000 does not?
Extra memory, extra cores or extra storage, not a different class of laptop. The Lenovo V14, Acer Aspire Lite and Dell 15 each sell in a ₹60,000 version and a ₹70,000 version. The extra money buys 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB, two to four more cores, or a 1TB SSD instead of 512GB.
We compared the three pairs at today's Amazon.in prices:
| Laptop | Lower-priced version | Higher-priced version | Extra cost | What the extra buys |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lenovo V14, Core i5-13420H | 8GB RAM, ~₹58,180 | 16GB RAM, ~₹68,700 | ₹10,520 | 8GB more RAM |
| Acer Aspire Lite with Office | Ryzen 5 5625U, 512GB, ~₹57,990 | Ryzen 7 7730U, 1TB, ~₹64,990 | ₹7,000 | 2 more cores and double the storage |
| Dell 15, 120Hz screen | Core 3 100U, ~₹63,990 | Core i5-1334U, ~₹67,990 | ₹4,000 | 4 more cores and a backlit keyboard |
The Lenovo step looks steep: ₹10,520 for 8GB. But laptop memory is expensive in 2026. The lowest-priced 8GB DDR5 stick we checked, the Lexar (rated 4.7 by 16 buyers), costs about ₹13,889 on Amazon.in. So the 16GB Lenovo saves about ₹3,369 compared with adding a stick yourself later.
The Dell step is the best deal: ₹4,000 turns a 6-core chip into a 10-core one, according to Dell's listings. Our best laptop under ₹60,000 guide covers the lower-priced Lenovo and Acer versions.
Can you add more RAM or storage later?
Only the Lenovo V14 and the Acer Aspire Lite let you add RAM, up to 32GB according to their listings. The Samsung Galaxy Book4, Acer Aspire 5 and ASUS Vivobook 16 have onboard (soldered) RAM, so buy enough on day one. The Dell's listing caps it at 16GB, and the MacBook Neo has 8GB.
Storage is easier. The Samsung has a second SSD slot, and the Lenovo V14 and Acer Aspire 5 listings allow a 1TB drive. Check the warranty terms before you open any laptop.
Best laptop under ₹70,000 overall: Samsung Galaxy Book4, Core i5-1335U

Samsung Galaxy Book4, Core i5-1335U (16GB, 512GB)
10-core i5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD with a spare slot, IPS screen and a backlit keyboard.
~₹66,743Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹66,743, rated 4.4 by 33 buyers, the highest rating among the Windows picks.
The Core i5-1335U has 10 cores and 12 threads, Intel says. Threads are the separate tasks a processor can run at once, which helps when you keep a browser and a video call open together. Intel's Iris Xe graphics come built into the chip.
Samsung lists the 16GB of RAM as "on board", meaning soldered, so it stays at 16GB. The 512GB SSD uses one of two SSD slots, so you can add a second drive. The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen has an anti-glare finish.
Samsung adds a backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader, an Ethernet port for wired internet, a microSD card slot and a 54Wh battery. It weighs 1.55kg, Samsung says. The listing includes MS Office.
- Buy it if you want one all-round laptop for college or office work, and 16GB of RAM will last you for years.
- Worth knowing: a smaller seller, GIFDHAMAKA, sells it. The listing shows a 1-year warranty.
Best value, most storage: Acer Aspire Lite, Ryzen 7 7730U, 1TB

Acer Aspire Lite, Ryzen 7 7730U (16GB, 1TB)
The only 1TB SSD here, with an 8-core Ryzen 7 and Office, for less than most picks.
~₹64,990Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹64,990 with Office 2024, rated 3.8 by 42 buyers. The listing showed only one unit left, so the price may change.
This is the only pick with a 1TB SSD, double the usual 512GB, yet it costs less than most others. The Ryzen 7 7730U has 8 cores, Acer's listing says. The listing also says the 16GB of DDR4 RAM can go up to 32GB, and it gives a 1-year warranty.
The 15.6-inch Full HD screen is the weak point. The listing title says IPS, but its feature list says "IPS TN", so the panel type is unclear. A TN panel fades when you view it from the side. The battery is 36Wh, smaller than the Samsung's 54Wh, and the laptop weighs 1.59kg.
- Buy it if you keep many photos, videos or course files and want Office included.
- Skip it if you often type in dim rooms, because the listing does not mention a backlit keyboard.
The Ryzen 5 5625U version with 1TB costs about ₹63,990 and has far more ratings, 4.0 from 691 buyers, but 2 fewer cores and no Office.
Best for students and office work: Dell 15, Core 3 100U, 16GB

Dell 15, Core 3 100U (16GB, 512GB)
120Hz IPS screen, Office and onsite service, rated by 1,138 buyers.
~₹63,990Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹63,990, rated 4.0 by 1,138 buyers, the most reviewed laptop here.
The Dell's strength is its 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen, with an anti-glare finish and a 120Hz refresh rate. Refresh rate is how many times per second the picture updates, so 120Hz makes scrolling look smoother than a normal 60Hz screen. Its 250-nit brightness suits indoor use.
The listing gives the 16GB of DDR4 RAM as the limit. The Dell comes with a 512GB SSD, MS Office Home and Student 2024 and 1 year of onsite service, where a technician comes to you.
The 6-core, 8-thread Core 3 100U suits study, Office and browsing, Intel says, and Dell lists Intel UHD Graphics. It weighs 1.63kg and has a 41Wh battery.
- Buy it if you want a well-reviewed laptop with Office and home service for college or office use.
- Worth knowing: the keyboard is not backlit. The same Dell with a 10-core Core i5-1334U adds a backlit keyboard for about ₹67,990, but it has only 10 ratings.
Best screen: Apple MacBook Neo

Apple MacBook Neo, A18 Pro (8GB, 256GB)
The sharpest, brightest screen here, and Apple claims up to 16 hours of video.
~₹68,990Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹68,990, rated 4.7 by 406 buyers, the highest rating here.
No OLED laptop came up under ₹70,000 in our searches, so the MacBook Neo has the best screen in this list. Apple lists a 13-inch IPS screen at 2408 x 1506 pixels and 500 nits. Nits measure brightness. The Windows picks that list a figure offer 250 to 300 nits.
Apple claims up to 16 hours of video streaming on one charge. The A18 Pro chip has a 6-core processor and a 5-core GPU, the part that draws graphics, and the laptop weighs 1.23kg, Apple says. Apple gives a 1-year limited warranty.
The catch is 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Every Windows pick here has 16GB of RAM and at least 512GB. Apple sells it with 8GB only.
- Buy it if you use an iPhone, want the best screen near ₹70,000 and a long battery claim, and mainly browse, study and write.
- Skip it if your course needs Windows-only software, or you keep large video files on the laptop.
Longest battery claim on Windows: ASUS Vivobook 16, Snapdragon X

ASUS Vivobook 16, Snapdragon X (16GB, 512GB)
The listing claims up to 27 hours of battery, with a 16-inch screen and Office.
~₹68,990Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹68,990, rated 4.2 by 64 buyers.
The Amazon listing claims up to 27 hours from the 50Wh battery, against 5.5 to 8 hours on the Intel and AMD listings here. It runs on the 8-core Snapdragon X (X1-26-100), an Arm-based chip. Treat 27 hours as a best case: heavy apps and a bright screen cut it.
The 16-inch screen is the biggest here, an IPS-level panel at 1920 x 1200. Its taller 16:10 shape shows more lines of a document than a 16:9 screen. ASUS lists 300 nits but only 45% of the NTSC colour range, a standard scale of how many colours a screen shows, so expect muted colours.
The 16GB of RAM is soldered, with a 512GB SSD, Qualcomm's built-in Adreno graphics and Office Home 2024. At 1.88kg, it is the heaviest pick. ASUS lists a 1-year warranty with onsite service in India.
Snapdragon laptops run Windows on Arm. Microsoft says Windows 11 on Arm runs regular Windows apps by translating them as they run, but not every app works. Check your must-have apps first on the Windows on Arm Ready Software list that Microsoft links to.
- Buy it if you work unplugged for long hours and want a big screen with Office.
- Skip it if you play PC games or rely on specialised software that the Arm list does not cover.
Best for coding and upgrades: Lenovo V14, Core i5-13420H, 16GB

Lenovo V14, Core i5-13420H (16GB, 512GB)
8-core H-series chip and two RAM slots up to 32GB; only 9 ratings so far.
~₹68,700Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹68,700, rated 4.3 by just 9 buyers, so the rating means little yet.
The Core i5-13420H is an H-series chip with 8 cores, 12 threads and a 45W base power, Intel says. The U-series chips in the Samsung, Dell and Acer Aspire Lite have a 15W base power. More power helps on long, heavy jobs such as compiling code or running a virtual machine.
The listing shows two RAM slots, with 16GB of DDR5 that can go up to 32GB, and a 512GB SSD that you can upgrade to 1TB. That makes this the most upgradable pick. The seller lists Windows 11 Pro and MS Office 2024 with it.
The 14-inch Full HD screen is a 60Hz matte panel at 300 nits, and the listing does not say whether it is IPS. It weighs 1.4kg, and has a 45Wh battery and an Ethernet port. Our best laptop for coding guide compares more machines for programmers.
- Buy it if you code, run heavy software or plan to add RAM later.
- Worth knowing: the listing gives the screen a 45% colour range, so it is not for photo work. A smaller seller, SUPREME-TRADES, sells it with a 1-year warranty.
Best thin and light: Acer Aspire 5, Core Ultra 5 125H

Acer Aspire 5, Core Ultra 5 125H (16GB, 512GB)
14 cores in a 1.2kg body with a 1920 x 1200 IPS screen; only 16 ratings so far.
~₹68,888Amazon.in
Check price →Around ₹68,888, rated 3.8 by 16 buyers, so the rating means little yet.
At 1.2kg, according to Acer's listing, this is the lightest pick, and it has the most cores: 14 cores and 18 threads in the Core Ultra 5 125H, Intel says. The 14-inch IPS screen is 1920 x 1200, the webcam records in 1080p, and the keyboard is backlit.
Intel's spec page says this chip gets Arc graphics, Intel's faster built-in graphics, only with at least 16GB of memory in dual-channel mode, where the memory works in pairs.
Notebookcheck's spec listing for this laptop names Arc graphics, but Acer's Amazon listing says "Intel UHD Graphics" in its feature list and "Intel Graphics" in its spec table, so we cannot confirm which you get.
Acer's feature list calls the 16GB of RAM onboard, so plan on it staying at 16GB, even though the listing's spec table gives a 32GB maximum. You can swap the 512GB SSD for a 1TB drive. Office 2024, a 54Wh battery and a 1-year warranty come with it.
- Buy it if you carry your laptop daily and want the most processor cores for the least weight.
- Worth knowing: a smaller seller, AI-VERSE RETAIL, sells it, and 16 ratings give little owner feedback yet.
Is there a gaming laptop under ₹70,000?
Not a new one with a separate graphics card, in October 2026. The lowest-priced one we found on Amazon.in is the Acer ALG with an RTX 3050 6GB at about ₹79,990. Every laptop above uses graphics built into the processor, which run older and lighter games at low settings only.
If gaming matters, our best gaming laptop under ₹1 lakh guide compares RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 models.
Can you get a Core i7 laptop under ₹70,000?
Almost, but the i7 label alone is not a reason to buy. The Acer Aspire Lite with a Core i7-12650H costs about ₹70,500 and has a 3.6 rating from 14 buyers. Its chip has 10 cores, Acer's listing says, fewer than the 14 in the lower-priced Acer Aspire 5.
A better-rated i7 laptop, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 with a Core i7-13620H, costs about ₹81,990. It appears in our best laptop under ₹1 lakh guide.
Best HP, Dell, Lenovo and ASUS laptops under ₹70,000
- HP: none we would pick under ₹70,000. The HP 15 with a 10-core Core i5-1334U, 16GB and 512GB costs about ₹71,590, just over budget, with a 4.0 rating from 420 buyers.
- Dell: the Dell 15 above, at about ₹63,990, or ₹67,990 with the Core i5-1334U.
- Lenovo: the V14 with the Core i5-13420H and 16GB, at about ₹68,700.
- ASUS: the Vivobook 16 with Snapdragon X, at about ₹68,990. The Vivobook 15 with a Core i5-13420H cost about ₹63,990 earlier this month but now shows ₹98,990, so skip it for now.
What to check before you buy
- The exact processor model. For study and Office, 6 cores do the job. For coding or editing, look for 8 or more, such as the Ryzen 7 7730U, Core i5-13420H or Core Ultra 5 125H. Avoid 4-core chips such as the Ryzen 5 7520U, still sold near ₹64,000.
- RAM. 16GB is standard at this price. "Onboard" or "soldered" means you can never add more.
- Storage. 512GB suits most people. Choose 1TB, or a spare SSD slot, if you keep videos or large projects.
- Screen. Prefer IPS over TN. A 1920 x 1200 or 120Hz screen is a bonus, and 300 nits or more helps near a bright window.
- Office and warranty. All the Windows picks include MS Office. All seven listings show a 1-year warranty, and Dell and ASUS list onsite service.
- Seller and price. Clicktech Retail sells the Dell, ASUS and MacBook, and smaller sellers sell the rest. Confirm the brand's warranty applies, and check the live price against the ones here before you pay.
Which laptop under ₹70,000 should you buy?
For most people, buy the Samsung Galaxy Book4 with the Core i5-1335U at around ₹66,743. It has 10 cores, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, an IPS screen, a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint reader, and buyers rate it 4.4.
For more storage, the Acer Aspire Lite with 1TB at around ₹64,990 doubles the SSD and includes Office. For the most-reviewed pick with home service, choose the Dell 15 at around ₹63,990.
If you use an iPhone and mainly study and browse, the MacBook Neo at around ₹68,990 has the best screen, but only 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
